Yeast overgrowth, or candidiasis, occurs when there is too much yeast in the body. There is always yeast in the body, but the amount of yeast can grow out of control. It can be result of several factors, including the use of antibiotics that kill the healthy bacteria that keep yeast growth under control. In order to combat yeast overgrowth, there are certain foods to eat, and these foods are also recommended for people with dairy sensitivity.

Dairy products can be responsible for yeast growth, so anytime there is too much yeast, then dairy products need to be eliminated from the diet. (Even though yogurt is a dairy product, the active bacteria contained in the yogurt is beneficial to controlling yeast, so yogurt with active cultures is not banned.) According to the Yeast Diet, or Candida Diet, eggs are a yeast-free food and are safe to eat. In addition, eggs are not a dairy product, so a person with a dairy sensitivity can eat all the eggs they desire.

    Beans

Beans are another food that satisfies both a yeast-free diet and a dairy-sensitive diet. Although a person who is dairy sensitive does not have to avoid all dairy products, a yeast diet recommends avoiding dairy products because they promote yeast growth. Beans, however, are a good and safe food.

Spinach would be a good choice among other dark green leafy vegetables. Other vegetables that can be eaten are asparagus, cumbers, broccoli, cabbage, okra, tomatoes and collard greens. In general, all vegetables are safe to eat, although some websites recommend avoiding carrots because it is a simple sugar and all sugars are to be avoided, if possible.
