What Do You Do to Relieve Stress?
My wife told me she can't handle stress, so my life is about making her life as stress free as possible.
I met her when I was in China on business.
I made it a point to go to China on business regularly after that.
Eventually, we married and she moved to the United States to live with me.
When she got to the United States, she found that life was much more stressful than the life she had left behind in China.
Mostly it was about all the bills we had to pay.
There was insurance: Health insurance, homeowners insurance, auto insurance, life insurance.
She didn't understand why we had to keep paying so much monthly just in case...
There was all the taxes: Sales tax, income tax, property tax.
Then there were other bills such as the mortgage, credit cards, utilities and even food was much more expensive than what she was used to in China.
She found all this overwhelming to understand.
Well, when I started working on the internet, she jumped at the chance.
She said "You can do that from China, can't you?" So now I live in China and work online.
While our life isn't 100% stress free, the cost of living is only a small fraction of what it was in the United States.
I understand moving to China isn't an option for most people, even if they had the desire to.
So what can you do to relieve your stress? That depends of course on the source of your stress.
Most stress is caused by: * job pressures * money pressures * time pressures Many of these pressures may be a symptom of a lack of productivity.
One of the biggest contributors to being under-productive is having the wrong mindset.
You need to have the focus and intention to get things done in an efficient manner.
Now, I'm not talking about repeating affirmations that just deny your reality.
Those usually don't work.
You aren't stupid enough to believe them.
You have to re-invent yourself as a new person and being productive can be one of the traits of the new you.
Break away from the person you were in the past and be the person that gets things done.
Another thing that boosts productivity is having the right tools.
You can get tools to manage your time and money better.
There are also tools to help you get more out of the tasks you do every day.
