How to Install Double Ended Dreads
- 1). Prepare hair by making sure it's clean, dry, brushed and parted down the middle.
- 2). Take a 1-inch-wide section of hair alongside the middle part and split this section of hair in two.
- 3). Place the synthetic dreadlock between the two sections of hair. Arrange the dread so that half of its length hangs between the two sections of hair and the other half sits atop your head, over your middle part.
- 4). Attach the middle of the dread to hair on the opposite side of the middle part with a sectioning clip. This will secure the entire dread as you install the hair piece.
- 5). Braid the strands of hair and dread together. Keep the dread as the middle piece while you braid.
- 6). Tie off the finished braid with an elastic band. The first half of the dread is installed.
- 7). Remove the sectioning clip from the other half of the dread.
- 8). Pull this unbraided dread straight down so that it lays alongside the braided dread.
- 9). Repeat actions for the rest of the hair.
