- 1). Quit Skype by right-clicking on the small Skype icon in the system's tray at the bottom of your desktop. Then select "Quit" from the menu.
- 2). Go to your Start menu. Then open the Control Panel.
- 3). Click on "Add/Remove Programs."
- 4). Locate the Skype software from the list of installed programs on your system. Then select "Remove" and follow the uninstallation prompts. You will be asked if you prefer to save your Call History and Friends List; this may be useful if you chose to reinstall Skype at a later date.
