Cinema Eye Honors for Documentaries - 2014 Winners
The 7th annual Cinema Eye Honors ceremony was held on January 8, 2014, at the Museum of the Moving Image in Queens, NY.
Awards were presented in recognition of outstanding achievements in the various and distinct arts and crafts essential to the making of nonfiction films, including cinematography, music and editing, as well as direction and production.
Cinema Eye Founding Director AJ Schnack and Cinema Eye Chair Esther Robinson hosted the three-hour event. The evening's highlights included opening remarks by Michael Moore and a stirring rendition of Fever by singer Lisa Fischer who was featured in Neville Morgan's 20 Feet From Stardom, and was named one of the year's unforgettable documentary characters.
Top Cinema Eye Honors went to The Act of Killing, Stories We Tell and Cutie and the Boxer, the latter winning prizes in three categories.
