How to Use the Moneylender in "Dominion"
- 1). Look in the opening layout for the Mine. If it is available, you may wish to purchase the Mine instead of the Moneylender, because it gives you more permanent treasure.
- 2). Buy the Moneylender if there is no Chapel, Mine, or Remodel available. This leaves the Moneylender as the only good way to get rid of Copper.
- 3). Play the Moneylender whenever possible, to discard a copper and increase your buying power by three coins. This will not only thin the Copper out of your deck, but will also allow you to quickly afford more powerful cards.
- 4). Buy a Silver whenever you have a Moneylender in your hand with only a single Copper. This will prevent your deck from running out of treasure.
- 5). Buy Gold whenever possible once you have started using the Moneylender. All the disappearing Copper will need to be replaced by something.
