Strength Training For Women - The Top 3 Mistakes Women Unknowingly Make

Are you making these 3 mistakes that are causing you the body you want? Keep reading to make sure you know the facts about strength training for women.
Mistake #1.
Falling in Love with Machines, Rather than using Free Weights
: If you're reading this, chances are you have been inside a gym before.
In fact, your eyes may even sparkle sometimes when you walk in and you see a big beautiful machine you could work out in.
And they keep making new machines with cooler and cooler model names.
Its almost like a ride at an amusement park and you just cant wait to ride it.
However, there's one tiny problem with working out with machines (actually its a huge problem).
The problem is that machines by nature are not natural to your body.
When you use a machine you are often using an un-natural or incomplete range of motion.
Not only that, but machines sometimes do things that your own body should be doing- like stabilizing the weight you are using.
This causes you to neglect the stabilizing and core muscles of your body, and getting less bang from your workout, which in the end, means poorer results for your health and physique.
In the worst of cases, if you workout with the wrong machines, you may be noticing that your body is growing muscles in an unbalanced way.
If things get out of hand you could be a very strange-looking person with unproportional body parts.
This happens with men too by the way.
Have you ever seen a guy whose biceps are too big for their bodies? The rest of their arms is moderate sized, but their biceps are just huge and even though they trained to look attractive, it looks just plain weird (But dont tell him or you will crush his ego).
Mistake #2.
Staying away from Weight training from fear of getting BIG
.
- Okay so by now you know a thing or two about weight training and you know you wont grow big arms like Arnold Schwarzenegger just because you are a woman and you utilize weights when you train.
However, I know that deep inside many women are still unsure about this despite what their intellect tells them.
After all, not very many women want the exaggerated big and bulky look of a bodybuilder, and just the thought of it is enough to give you chills.
The truth is women do not produce anywhere near the amount of testosterone that men do, and there is no way a woman can look anything resembling that without anabolic help (hormones or drugs).
So it is absolutely fine to push yourself with your weight training because even when you get to your limits, nature will preserve your feminine physique.
In other words, you don't have to stick to using little weights that a five year old girl could play with; you can turn it up a notch and get great results.
Mistake #3.
Sticking to longer low intensity activities.
Another caveat is that women are naturally drawn to low intensity workouts that last a long time.
Things like jogging and aerobics.
These things are plenty of fun and you can keep doing them if they bring you joy and pleasure.
However, you must realize that to burn the highest degree of fat, not just during your workout, but also at rest, you will have to train at a higher intensity.
The intensity must be high enough to tax your metabolic system to the point that speeds up and burns more calories, ALL the time.
As a bonus your workouts can be dramatically shorter-nothing close to the 2 hour range, which allows more time for your relationships and aspirations while eliminating excess fat from your body.
