How Do I Get Vonage on All of My Phones?

    • 1). Disconnect existing phone lines going to your home phone jacks. You will not be able to use a line that is live. Call your phone company if you have any concerns about disconnecting existing phone lines.

    • 2). Connect the phone router. Use the blue cable wire to connect the router to the cable modem. Then use a telephone wire to connect "Output 1" to a phone jack in the wall. You may want to confirm that the Vonage account is working properly by connecting a phone directly into the Output of the router. You can do this in Output 2. If there is no dial tone, troubleshoot by replacing the Output 1 with the phone line and checking for a dial tone.

    • 3). Confirm that all phone jacks are on the same network by plugging phones into jacks around the house and seeing if there is a dial tone. You may need to hire an electrician or a phone technician to activate phone jacks that are not on the network. Once a jack is on the network, all you need to do is plug your phone in to get the Vonage connection.
