Here"s Your Time!
Have you ever read Solomon's poetic piece about time? It's the one that says "There is a time and a season for everything...
a time to sow and a time to reap...
" and so on.
It is in Ecclesiastes 3:1-8.
There are many translations to choose from, and I decided favor the KJV for poetic flow.
Now is our perfect time! Is your heart aching? Then now is your perfect time to cry it out and wash the walls of your heart.
Are you joyful? Now is a wonder-filled time for you to share that joy with someone around you.
Whatever time it is for you, you get to be fully in it should that be your choice.
We never see the flower fight its blossom time complaining that it's too hard, right? It just is.
This moment now is where we can change the world, yours and mine too! Now, is what we have, and remember that laughter is truly the best medicine! Love trumps all else, bless you! Peace and blessings.
Time.
It seems to elude us when we feel we need most.
It seeps out through the cracks of "I have to go to work now" and rushes through the door of "we can do that tomorrow.
" Time is what disappears through a flash of angry words and in that same day it flows like a salve over and through the words "I love you.
" Some would say we have all the time in the world.
Well, how long is that exactly so I can know how to invest it.
Time, it wants just a moment with us.
A moment to strengthen us in the quiet presence of our maker, a moment to sit around our kitchen tables laughing about the spilt milk of yester-year.
It slips away when we just can't see another's point of view.
We scoff and huff and waste it foolishly.
Many take it lightly.
No judgment here, just remember it can't be borrowed from a neighbor like sugar or butter.
It turns without our permission or understanding beckoning us to sit with it, smile with it, and breathe with it.
Evolve with it and it may be kind.
Fight with others and it may feel long.
Honor it with stillness, self-examination, and love.
Treat it with gentleness and passion for life and it may choose to invest some of itself in you.
