Costume Ideas for Four People
- Dress up with your three best friends in a cool or funny group costume this Halloween. You can purchase ready-made group costumes, or make your own with old clothes from your closet and a few simple craft supplies and costume pieces. Enjoy trick-or-treating or party hopping with the other three-quarters of your costume.
- Have each person in the group dress as one of the four seasons. For the summer costume, wear a sarong or board shorts with flip-flops, sunglasses and a touch of sunblock on your nose. Make costumes for winter, spring and fall by decorating basic clothes with acrylic fabric paint. Paint images of snowflakes or tulips on the clothes, or attach fake flowers or fall leaves with hot glue.
- Dress as your favorite four characters from the popular television show "Flintstones." Make homemade Flintstones costumes with simple, inexpensive fabrics or sheets, and then hot glue felt triangles in different colors to the costumes. You'll need a red wig for Wilma and Pebbles, a black wig for Fred and a white wig for Bamm Bamm. - The Wizard of Oz, with its four famous characters, works well for a costume theme for a group of four. The person dressing as Dorothy will have the easiest job, and could either find a blue and white checkered dress and paint a pair of flat shoes red, or purchase a Dorothy costume. Making costumes for the scarecrow, the cowardly lion and the tin man require a bit more ingenuity, but, fortunately, you can also find these costumes in children's and adults' sizes at many costume shops.
- If you have a group of four guys, dress as the Beatles. You'll have to argue over who gets to be John and Paul, of course. To dress as the Beatles at the beginning of the band's career, simply wear clean gray suits, black ties and brown wigs, or use temporary hair dye to color your hair. You can also find Sgt. Pepper Beatles jackets to purchase. Carry inflatable guitars and a small boom box playing a Beatles album for added effect.
