Health & Medical Hemorrhoids

Prolapsed Hemorrhoid, Causes, Preventions, Options

It is a well known fact that approximately half of all American's will suffer from the painful burning and itching from prolapsed hemorrhoids by the age of 50 years of age.
Because of this embarrassing aspect of this situation not many will seek medical treatment for this problem.
Statistics tell us that only about 50,000 people will be treated medically for hemorrhoids with less than 20% of them needing surgery.
With the statistics of half the population compared to 50,000 being treated, this is a very small number.
Some people are more predisposed to developing prolapsed hemorrhoids than others due to a lack of collagen and elasticity in the body.
Many times this will contribute to weak rectal veins and rectal walls.
Many times these people will suffer from other similar problems such as hernias.
There are many things that contribute to the onset of hemorrhoids, but no one contribution can definitely be defined as the true cause, in fact doctors don't know what the true cause of hemorrhoids are.
Some of the things that are listed as contributing factors are Constipation, which causes excessive straining.
Child Birth is a common cause of hemorrhoids among women.
Sitting for long periods of time will contribute to the onset of hemorrhoids.
Some of the things that you can do to prevent hemorrhoids or improve the condition are: * Drink the recommended amount of water daily (usually 8 glasses).
* Get enough Fiber in your diet to keep your bowel movements regular.
* Having a normal exercise routine will also help in preventing not only hemorrhoids but many other medical conditions.
