    Flickr

    • Flickr is a photo sharing site that allows you to upload photos from your phone or desktop. You can edit photos and even add special effects to them. Organizational tools allows you to group your photos according to theme or date. Similar to a social networking site, you can add people as "friends" and set privacy settings to allow your photos to be viewed by friends only or allow everyone on the site to view them. Keep in touch using message boards and get updates when your friends post new photos.

    • Photobucket is a site that hosts photos and videos for sharing. Photobucket also links to Facebook, Twitter and MySpace so you can share your uploaded photos on those sites as well. You can also create slideshows of your favorite photos. Photobucket can be accessed on a mobile phone as well as a laptop.

    Shutterfly

    • Shutterfly is a little different than the above sites because you actually create your own website and upload your photos to the site. Share links to phots with friends and family to allow them to visit your site and access your pictures. People can also order their own prints of your photos using this site. You can also have prints made of your pictures and create photo mugs, t-shirts, tote bags and other gifts.

    Smugmug

    • Smugmug, unlike the other photo sharing sites, does cost a small yearly fee. You can access the site using a free trial to see if you like it. Smugmug offers high quality photo resolution, unlimited photo storage and tight privacy controls that allow you to have complete control over who can see your photos. There are no distracting ads while you view your pictures and Smugmug photos look great on an iPhone. You can also customize your photos and albums with fonts, colors and themes.
