How to Configure Slipstream DSL Modem for Embarq DSL
- 1). Unplug any device from the DSL phone line and plug the phone line filters into the phone lines, except for the modem's line. Plug the devices back into the phone line filters.
- 2). Plug the Speedstream modem into a wall outlet. Plug the phone line into the "Internet" jack on the modem and the modem's phone jack.
- 3). Plug the Ethernet cord into your computer and into the Speedstream modem.
- 4). Turn on your computer and open your computer's browser. Embark's Web page will appear.
- 5). Enter the password "1234" and click "Login." Change the password and click "Apply.
- 6). Click "Wizard Setup" and click "Next." Check "Obtain IP Address Automatically" and click "Next." Click "Save Settings" and close your browsers. Reopen your browser to surf the Internet.
