When Your Wife Doesn't Love You Anymore – Compassionate Advice for Men

When your wife doesn't love you anymore it creates a whole range of emotions in you. If you still love her you're going to feel a great sense of loss and confusion. You wonder what went wrong and what the future holds for your relationship. Letting her go may seem like the logical thing to do but when you're dealing with matters of the heart, logic doesn't always play a role. You love her, she's the woman you chose to spend your life with so don't be too hasty. Don't let the relationship die without putting in all the effort you have to save it.

The most important thing you always need to remember when your wife doesn't love you anymore is that she did love you once very deeply. Many women become so disenchanted with their marriage that they believe they've fallen out of love with their husband. In reality they're simply confusing their feelings of lost love with resentment and disappointment. If your wife feels that you neglect her needs and she's not truly heard within the marriage she may very well confuse that with feeling emotionally disconnected from you.

You need to drastically change the way you interact with your wife if you hope to keep your marriage alive. Start by thinking back to your dating days. Do you remember how you made your wife feel as though she was the most cherished person in your life? Your goal now is to make her feel that exact same way. You have to put her needs above everyone else's in your life. She has to feel as though she's the focal point of your attention and that has to be coming from a genuine place within you.

Obviously, the way you go about doing this is going to be different now than it was when you two first got together. If you have children it's not as simple as planning a date night and then making it happen. You have to worry about finances and child care. There are ways around that.

After the children have been put to bed, surprise your wife with a bowl of popcorn and a movie. Sit together and watch it. Reach for her hand. Snuggle up next to her. Show her that you still care very much for her.  You can also enjoy a walk together each evening or a weekend getaway to someplace local once a month.

You need to listen more to your wife. We all have a way of tuning out our spouse from time-to-time. If you've done that, it hasn't gone unnoticed by your wife. Encourage her to talk to you and stay engaged completely in the conversation. Don't allow your attention to be taken away. She needs to feel that she's the most important person in your life. Make her feel that way beginning today and it may just change your entire marriage for the better.
