Strings Are Forbidden For Surfers
At the beginning of summer season the usual swimsuit for surfers will be forbidden in Australian serf-clubs.
At sundown, requests for dress are increasing and in the evening the visitors can not wear playful swimming trunks like tanga or even florid strings and T-shirts in the biggest clubs of Golden Beach.
Among those clubs are Tallebudgera, Burleigh-Mowbray Park, Coolangatta 8 Currumbin where T-shirts and swimming trunks are not the appropriate evening dress.
Other clubs prohibited only T-shirts after 6:00 PM but florid swimming trunks are permitted.
In Australia, surf-clubs are an integral and very importantpart of tourism with high investments, enlarged and renewed, for the last decade, net of hotels, restaurants and beach bars.
Surfing in Australia is not a sport but a lifestyle.
Golden Beach is the most popular part for surfing and the most famous resort in the eastern coast of Australia.
Sooner or later, each surfer searching for unique waves reaches this part of the world.
People at the beaches criticize innovations, considering that T-shirts ban is not in Australian style.
Usually people who spend the whole day on the beach hardly ever think to take changing dress, shirt and shoes to get in surf-club.
One youth was allowed to wear swim trunk on the territory of the Tallebudgera club only for 20 minutes, as dress code comes into effect in the evening.
"Such dress-standards already exist for several years and are generally accepted", explained the club member Peter Le Gros.
"Anybody will not insult anyone.
We just want to ensure accuracy and order for our regular clients.
About 99% of local clubs aim that.
However some clubs as for example Surfers Paradise and Rainbow clubs, still forbid beachwear in the evenings.
It is silly, because it is a part of our culture", says Peter Le Gros.
