Peace Walker Cheats
- In the Extra Ops 29 area, you can build up a weapon's powers with minimal effort. Clear the area so the exit becomes available, and then go to Playa Del Alba beach. Proceed past the fence on the beach and locate the scarecrow. Choose a weapon that you want to level up and begin firing at the scarecrow. The scarecrow is invulnerable, so you can shoot it as many times as you wish. Keep an eye on the clock. When you're down to around a minute, make a run for the exit at Bosque del Alba. Your weapon will gain a substantial amount of experience after the level is finished.
- Getting a high ranking by using non-lethal weapons to eliminate soldiers takes a steady hand. To ensure that your opponent remains alive, shoot him until the near-death skull appears. Then, equip the Stun Rod and zap him with half the battery's power. The soldier will only be stunned and the attack won't result in a kill.
- If you're under small-arms fire and can't find a place to take cover, use your shield to avoid major damage while you retreat. Equip the shield along with any weapon besides a handgun, sub-machine gun or grenade. Turn your back on the enemies as you're shooting. The shield will stay behind you and provide protection as you seek cover or place supply markers.
- To quickly amass a lot of Hero Points, work towards getting multiple insignias at the same time. For example, using non-lethal weapons on guards while avoiding detection and recovery items will gain you three insignias and a lot of points. Stringing Close Quarters Combat attack combos together will also net you some quick Hero Points. Perform these CQC attacks with either the "Square" button or the "R" button, depending on your control configuration. You'll get an additional 30 Hero Points for each combo above two.
- The unmanned weapon Pupa appears as the final boss of Chapter One, and this can be a challenging battle. To defeat Pupa, you'll need the M16, rations, a supply marker and the Law or RPG. Wait for Pupa to stop, and then shoot a rocket toward the cylinder-shaped console. Stay on the move to avoid being hit with electric shots. Switch to the M16 when Pupa shoots the lightning rods and blast the ones that come near. Lie down on the ground and keep firing until the lightning stops. Keep your health up with rations and use the supply marker if you need more. When Pupa is destroyed, shoot a rocket toward the hatch on the top of its head. Remove Pupa's programs to end the battle.
