Bachelorette Party Guide to Las Vegas
Bachelorette Party Guide to Las Vegas
Blame Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry, and the guys from The Hangover. They're among the celebrities responsible for convincing brides-to-be to forego a tame, potluck-and-pajamas bachelorette party in favor of a Rabelaisian girfriends' getaway, assured that what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.
Should you wish to follow in these luminaries' footsteps - as many young women do - on the following pages find 24/7, only-in-Vegas activities to revel in the waning days of your maidenhood with your bestest friends.
Bachelorette Party Guide to Las Vegas:
Where to Stay for a Bachelorette Party in Vegas
Literally thousands of hotel rooms are available to house you and your girlfriends in Las Vegas. Some offer group rates or bachelorette packages to induce you to bring your entire posse to stay. Hotels favored by bachelorette parties include:
View rooms, dining, and other aspects of Las Vegas' best hotels.
If your budget is tight, search for a Las Vegas hotel by price.
Note: If you are planning to take more than one room, contact the reservations department to ask if there is a discount for a multiple booking and to assign rooms near each other.
Breakfast in Vegas with Your Bachelorettes
Vegas is a never-ending banquet of food, from bountiful buffets to Michelin-starred restaurants. So where should you take a gaggle of girls in town for a bachelorette party? Before marriage intrudes, let them sample everything, starting with breakfast.
Breakfast for Your Bachelorette Party
Start the day at the Bacchanal Buffet in Caesars Palace, a Vegas buffet reinvented to satisfy a new generation of discriminating diners.
Its nine show kitchens and 500-plus items can satisfy everyone's need to eat differently, from a dieting bride to a pregnant matron of honor.
On the second day of your bachelorette party, when perhaps some in your group are a tad hungover, choose an eatery with full waiter service. We liked the laid-back vibe at Culinary Dropout in the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, where there's indoor/outdoor space to sit, good music, amped-up pub fare, and a menu of cocktails to take the edge off. Bacon Bloody Mary (bacon-infused Skyy vodka, Worcestershire, cracked pepper, and spiced tomato), anyone?
Also at Caesars Palace, Serendipity 3 is heaven for sisters with a sweet tooth. In addition to its famous Frrrozen Hot Chocolate (now available in 11 varieties), the restaurant offers a variety of egg and waffle dishes at breakfast and brunch. We also like the setting: It's located a staircase above the Las Vegas Strip, with outdoor space perfect for people-watching (and indoor space perfect for escaping the desert heat).
Reservations are accepted.
French sophistication in the middle of Las Vegas, chef Thomas Keller's Bouchon in the Venetian hotel serves the freshest, lightest, butteriest croissants this side of the Seine. Breakfast and brunch menus are also French-accented and exquisitely prepared.
Should you want to start the day with a continental breakfast, you can't do better than Bouchon Bakery, a to-go kiosk located on the lower level of the hotel. We can't praise the cheese danish highly enough; it's more like a cheese cupcake, a buttery confection filled with sweet cheese and dusted with sugar that makes us want to burst into a few stanzas of La Marseillaise.
Still feeling a bit... paralyzed, after the previous night's revelry? Rouse yourselves and pick up the phone: Every major hotel offers room service.
Daytime Fun for a Bachelorette Party
Fortified from breakfast, it's time to start your bachelorette party's day. What type of fun is your group of girls up for?
Dinner in Vegas with Your Bachelorette Party
Next to New York City, Las Vegas has the largest number of excellent restaurants in the USA. Yet some are better than others for a group of girls who want to splurge... without breaking the bank.
Rice & Company in Luxor Las Vegas offers a special prix-fixe Bachelorette menu with the awkward-cutesy name "The Last Supperette." It includes "Prenuptials" — choice of a sushi roll or spring roll, "The 2nd Date" — salad or egg drop soup, "Tying the Knot" — a main course of beef, shrimp, or chicken, and "The Honeymoon" — an elaborate chocolate dessert plus coffee, tea or soda.
Cocktails are available, too. As it's never a good idea to serve Japanese and Chinese food from the same kitchen, diners will be happiest if they stick with sushi here.
SushiSamba in The Palazzo is a hot spot for discriminating fans of Japanese fare. Its dramatic ceiling overlooks several roomy banquettes, and if those aren't big enough to accommodate your gang, there is private dining. Our waiter asked us to describe all the things we like to eat in a Japanese restaurant and produced a unique plate of mouthwatering sushi that contained those ingredients plus a few surprises. We were pleased.
To experience even more of a a party vibe, make a reservation at STK in The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. The later it gets, the louder the techno music booms, and friends in one booth have been known to stand up and dance with new buddies in another. The house specialty is uber-juicy wagyu beef patties, which is a pricier, slider version of a Big Mac.
If you prefer Mexican food along with a loose, festive atmosphere and cheap drinks, consider Carlos'n Charlie's in the Flamingo hotel.
When you order guacamole, a waiter arrives with all the fixings, and you can ask to have it made as spicy or as tame as you like.

Vegas Entertainment at a Bachelorette Party
Plan to see a show during in Vegas during your bachelorette visit. From the Cirque du Soleil troupe to the superstar performers at Caesars Palace to the magical fun of Penn & Teller, there's entertainment for every taste.
Bachelorette evenings in Vegas often start with cocktails, and there are any number of lounges in the casino hotels along the Strip to make the scene and quench a thirst.
One of the coolest places for your hen party to roost is Hyde at Bellagio, which has a terrace and an unobstructed view of the Fountains of Bellagio that dance in water ballets to music every half hour or so. (Arrive before sunset for the best views.) Drinks here are inventive as well.
Don't be surprised if a rolling bar arrives tableside and your waiter concocts a cocktail complete with liquid nitrogen to make it smokin' good.
For more ideas on where to have a drink in Vegas, I defer to my colleague Zeke Quezada, who's quaffed up and down the Strip and reports in detail.
Nightclubs in Vegas
Part of the fun of holding a bachelorette party in Vegas is nightclubbing till the early hours. These are among the most popular places for visitors in their 20s and 30s to celebrate the last gasps of singlehood:
Want to hit lots of hotspots? The All-Access Vegas Nightclub Pass including Pool Parties(buy online) provides free VIP access to the city's top nightclubs, lounges, dayclub pools, and strip clubs and pays the cover charge.

The Tao Group in the Palazzo Resort Hotel & Casino has carved out a niche for itself as the premier headquarters for bachelorette party gatherings and offers a variety of packages to girls planning a final fling.
In September 2012, Tao Group hosted the first World's Largest Bachelorette Party. About 250 women signed up, bikinis were donned, and drinks were downed. The celebration, which stretched over a long weekend, featured:

Where to Stay for a Bachelorette Party in Vegas
Literally thousands of hotel rooms are available to house you and your girlfriends in Las Vegas. Some offer group rates or bachelorette packages to induce you to bring your entire posse to stay. Hotels favored by bachelorette parties include:
- Palazzo - the all-suite Palazzo is the first choice among many bachelorettes, thanks to its large quarters made for hanging out, festive pool scene at Tao Beach, and popular hangouts and hotspots including Tao and Lavo (check hotel rates).
- Caesars Entertainment Las Vegas Resorts offers groups a specialized concierge service called Total Experiences that accesses the facilities of its nine resorts (including Caesars Palace Las Vegas(check hotel rates), Rio, Planet Hollywood, Paris Las Vegas, Bally's, Flamingo, and Harrah's) to create a customized bachelorette trip.
Total Experiences service starts with arranging group rates (including suites the general public never sees) and providing VIP check-in. A team member works to design your one-of-a-kind itinerary with such diversions as a private cooking class, poolside yoga sessions, and all-night, front-of-the-line access to the company's nightclubs as well as limo transportation and personalized gift bags. - Bachelorettes who demand to be in the center of the action may be happiest at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas(check hotel rates). Originally designed as condos, the extra-large rooms have a kitchenette, deep soaking tub, separate dressing area, and a balcony. But what makes the hotel a magnet is Marquee, the lavish dayclub/nightclub where the scene never cools down.
