- 1). Add fuel if the Toro is low or empty.
- 2). Press the Toro's primer bulb five times. Start your Toro.
- 3). Allow your Toro to run for about five minutes without adjusting it.
- 4). Locate the idle adjustment screw, which is near the carburetor and the primer bulb.
- 5). Insert the screwdriver into the tip of the idle adjustment screw. If the timing is running at a low speed, turn the screw about a half-turn to the right. If it's running too fast, turn the screw a half-turn to the left.
