Freelance Writing Assignments - Bring Out Emotion In Your Writing

Freelance writing assignments often provide you with an opportunity to write about topics that you know a lot about.
There is however a counter argument to this.
It states that if you do that, it will condemn you to a writing life of boredom as growth beyond current limitations will not be reached.
Is it not possible then for a freelance writer to get around this by writing about what they know, but on an emotional level? Emotions are all about the universal language, because we can all relate to, or recognize the same feelings.
As individual human beings we might feel the same feelings, but we may just experience them in different ways.
Any well informed freelance writer should be aware that most people recognize emotions like, anger, resentment, joy, love, peace, jealousy and fear.
If you then tap into this universal language with your freelance stories, you will be able to eloquently speak to the hearts of all your readers.
Freelance writers need to focus on relevant emotional topics that will change the lives of people.
The changes must be about real aspects that start on the inside and work its way out.
Writers of fiction in particular are constantly living inside their own imaginations and therefore able to write stories that resonate and identify with others.
This type of writing is able to capture the readers from the first page and not to let them go until the last page.
You might pose the question about how emotion relates to freelance writers of non-fiction, who are restricted by the limitations of science, hard facts or other authentically captured events.
They can get around this through putting a spin on their writing and using more descriptive words or adjectives.
It is relatively easy to refer to "the super fast man who broke the world record in an incredible time of fifty nine seconds" as opposed to "the man broke the record in under one minute" As a writer you must consciously work on your ability to talk about characters overcoming their challenges, whilst dealing with changing their own lives and that of others.
Fiction writers offer real emotional solutions, while writers of non-fiction should state the facts, in a manner that the emotion can be felt.
The world of freelance writing has many unstated rules and regulations, but the importance of emotionally charged writing as long as not overdone, cannot be ignored.
