Last Monday we had the opportunity to watch the first episode of an US adaptation of a British hit series Skins.The original series Skins was amazingly successful in showing the more human side of today's teens and also in reminding older folks that even they were young once upon the time. Judging from the first episode of Skins US, the adaptation is following the original series pretty close so far at least in the light of this above mentioned.Let us hope that the show doesn't go too far in promoting the kind of lifestyle which may be the reason why young people are finding themselves ostracized in the first place these days.
It's well known that many people were consigned that Skins US won't follow up and just ruin an excellent and unique series which Skins he original was. Having only one episode behind us so far and Skins (US) Season 1 Episode 1 went pretty well with the audience let's just hope they keep it up in the upcoming episodes like tonight's Skins (US) Season 1 Episode 2 -Tea.
For now all we know is that Skins (US) has continued the tradition of the original series in terms of the amount of sexual scenes, drug abuse scene, but also proved to be a good dramatic adaptation of a real teenage life today.What I am happy about is that in this adaptation of Skins, they kept many good sides of the original series as the age of the actors. American teenage TV series have a nasty habit of hiring actors for teenage rolls who don't look much like they are teenagers (and they are not actually) so in that sense, that part was well done because these kids look genuine presentation of targeted age.
In Skins (US) Season 1 Episode 2 Tea we are, obviously, meeting Tea. The main plot evolves around for mentioned Tea going on a blind date where she meets her match.(Spoiler alert!) Now that mach seems to be another girl and yeah, we'll see some lesbian tendencies and racier scenes of girl on girl action, of course, in Skins Season 1 Episode 2 -Tea.Tea also has a problem with girls who bore her and she has a conversation about it with her grandmother. They are just not interesting enough for her and just so you don't forget, Teas family doesn't know about her sexual orientation yet.( the grandmother is senile).
