- 1). Cut up fresh fruits into bite-size chunks. Include melons, pineapple and orange slices. Add grapes and strawberries to include different shapes in the arrangement.
- 2). Cover a Styrofoam cone with clear plastic wrap or tin foil. This will prevent the fruit from touching the Styrofoam and also cover up the extra Styrofoam under the fruit so it doesn't show through as obviously.
- 3). Poke a toothpick into the Styrofoam cone near the base. Let the toothpick stick out of the side of the cone by about 1 inch.
- 4). Put a chunk of fruit onto the toothpick to secure it to the Styrofoam. Wiggle the cone slightly to be sure the fruit doesn't fall off.
- 5). Repeat Steps 3 and 4 until the entire cone is covered in fruit. Alternate the types of fruit you include, either in rows or by a random assortment, to add variety to your sculpture. If you have small gaps left over, tuck mint leaves into them to hide the Styrofoam base.
