How Should I Handle a Fight Between My Dog & Another Dog at a Dog Park?
- 1). Instruct the owner of the other dog or another person in the park to help you handle the fight.
- 2). Take the back legs of your dog and pick them up like a wheelbarrow, while the other dog owner takes his dogs in the same manner. This position doesn't allow the dog to bite you.
- 3). Pull the dogs apart and ensure they no longer see each other.
- 4). Attach a leash to your dog's collar. Turn in circles and slowly move away from the other dog. Your dog is forced to sidestep and can't harm you or other people.
- 5). Take the dog to an isolated space such your home, kennel or a garage. Don't release your dog until it is in this space.
