Iron a standard square bandanna flat. - 2). Fold the bandanna in half diagonally with wrong sides together and iron it at the seam. You should have a triangle with two layers and a fold.

Measure the width of your dog's collar. Sew a seam along the fold of the bandanna that's twice the width of the collar, forming a sleeve to slide the collar through. For example, if your dog wears a collar that is 1 inch wide, sew a straight seam 2 inches from the fold. - 4). Slide a flat piece of cardboard into the sleeve temporarily. It should be long enough to stick out both ends of the sleeve.
