My Dog - The Vegetarian!

It is true my dog was a vegetarian just like all of us in the house, and believe me she was quite healthy all her life.
We loved our dog, she lived with us for 10 years before she succumbed to tick fever.
Believe it or not when she came to our home, she was a hardcore non-vegetarian.
But she joined us at 2 months of age.
Though there was no non-vegetarian food around, we all being vegetarians, but surprisingly she never showed any loss of nourishment neither did she lack the energy for her all day long activities which included training and play.
Here are some of her most favorite vegetarian foods which she devoured with pleasure: 1.
Tomato: If there is a fresh, juicy tomato being cut at home, she should have one too.
We found she loved the fresh tomatoes so much, that we generally gave her one in morning, afternoon and at night time.
Tomato was her favorite all her life.
2.
Green peas: She stopped at nothing when it came to eating her favorite food, the green peas.
She would peel every green pea pod with her teeth and paws and eat the peas.
A brilliant source of many nutrients, the green pea was often added to her diet when it was available freely in the market.
3.
Carrot: This one like the tomato was added to her diet on regular basis.
She needed it whole.
So we washed it clean and added it to her lunch plate.
She never ate it when she was lunching; she ate it whenever she felt like it.
However, there was one for each day.
4.
Warm milk with sugar: Yeah, that one she needed it everyday morning.
Warm milk with little sugar was what she waited for everyday.
So we would have a saucer full of warm milk for her when we had out morning tea/coffee/milk, etc.
5.
Coconut: Coconut was another of her favorite foods.
Every once a white we would buy one for her.
Of course, she did not enjoy the water, so we got the water removed and gave her one to eat.
It would last at least 2-3 days.
She would break the outer shell to make it larger with her teeth.
Coconut was always irresistible.
6.
Chocolate: She was a female through and through, so give her pure chocolate and she would finish it off.
Chocolate was a little difficult for her to digest, so she got only a small piece.
She relished it the most.
7.
Ice Cream: Cold and sweet, she liked the vanilla flavor.
So there was one for her every time there was ice cream in the house.
8.
Boiled Egg: We ensured enough nutrition for her luckily she loved the boiled egg.
9.
Her lunch: It included homemade bread and homemade white butter with little sugar.
Somehow, we never started with the ready made, packaged food.
There are many positive and negative reports about the packaged food.
Healthy food needs to be fresh.
You could always try to discover your pet better by finding out what fresh food would really be interesting to your pet.
