How to Cause a High Ping
- 1). Click the Windows "Start" button. Type "cmd" into the search field at the bottom of the Start menu, then press Enter to open a Command Prompt window.
- 2). Type "ping 127.0.0.1 -t" into the Command Prompt.
- 3). Press Enter and your computer will start pinging itself, creating more traffic that will help to cause a higher ping on your connection. When you are finished, you can close the Command Prompt window to stop your computer from pinging itself.
