How to Make a Centerpiece Time Capsule for a High School Reunion

    • 1). Get out your yearbook from your senior year. Copy pictures of the prom court, football team and other important activities that seniors participated in at your school. Laminate these copies.

    • 2). Conduct an online search for world headlines for your graduation year. Print out these headlines. Repeat this process with scientific discoveries, new inventions and popular music and musicians. Insert each one into an individual little plastic Easter egg. Hot glue them shut at the seam.

    • 3). Copy any photos from your photo album that showcase jewelry, hair accessories, hair styles and clothing trends worn while you attended high school. Ask other classmates to send in copies of their photos.

    • 4). Gather all the non-laminated photographs together. Glue each one of them individually to the cardboard backing. Cut each of them into a circular shape. Use a cookie cutter as a model for the circle design. Poke a hole into the top portion of the pictures and string dental floss through it. Set pictures aside.

    • 5). Break several branches off a tree and spray paint them the school colors.

    • 6). Find two clear cylinder vases that allow one to fit inside the other. Place the laminated photographs into the first cylinder. Tape the pictures to the side.

    • 7). Insert the second cylinder vase inside. Place the Easter eggs into the second cylinder. Add the branches. String all of the non-laminated circular photographs to the branches. Allow them to dangle.

    • 8). Add water to the area between the first and second vase. Cut the stems of the flowers, so they are smaller than the branches and insert them into the water.

    • 9). As the night goes on, have guests pull out the Easter egg "time capsule" from the center vase and read what it says. Then have guests add their memories on the information.
