Berroco Hip-Hop
A World of Color:
Berroco makes a lot of really nice, versatile yarns that are pretty widely available. I like them because they're always doing something creative, something you're not always seeing from the other big yarn manufacturers.
Berroco's Hip-Hop yarn is a really fun thick and thin multicolored yarn that is great for a variety of projects and that I really love for the vibrant colors.

Knitting:
For a thick and thin yarn, Berroco Hip-Hop is really easy to work with and has a cohesive look and feel in the knit fabric even though some stitches are obviously smaller and thinner than others.
Between the fun texture and the vivid colors, you won't want to stop when you start knitting with this yarn. The big needles also make it easy to complete small projects using this yarn pretty quickly.
The yarn is pretty fuzzy and almost has a halo of fibers in the knit fabric. The fabric itself is soft and would be fine against the skin, but the thinner parts of the yarn aren't as soft as the thicker bits.
Uses for Berroco Hip-Hop:
This yarn would be great for many different purposes. I think it would make a great slouchy sweater (big enough to be worn often a T-shirt, so the holes wouldn't matter), but it would also be a great choice for scarves, bags or anything that needs a bit of colorful pop.
It's perfect for accessories like the Moleskine cozy, and it's also nice for felting. An easy felted bag would be another great choice for this yarn.
Caring for Hip-Hop Yarn:
Berroco Hip-Hop is 100 wool. It should be handwashed in cool water without agitation, using a mild soap or wool wash. Lay it flat to dry.
The yarn may also be dry cleaned.
Bottom Line:
Hip-Hop is a great general-purpose yarn for accessories, felting and other projects. At around $13 a skein it's a little pricey for a big project, but it is a great statement yarn for a small project or combined with another yarn in a project.
