Blackening O Gauge Center Rails with Neolube

I haven't tried this one yet, but I've been told that Neolube is a great way to blacken your center rails if you're using Lionel's Fastrack.

MTH RealTraxx already has blackened center rails, and so did some early Fastrack. I have a Fastrack oval with blackened center rails, and I'd like any new track I add to match. I have no idea why Lionel changed to silver center rails.

If you're like me and prefer to camouflage your center rail I think painting it with Neolube would be worth a try.

It's actually a black paint-on lubricant made of conductive graphite. It will wear off where the center pickups make contact, but the sides should remain black. And you can touch up the tops of the rails up now and again if it bothers you. If you try this out, let us know how it works with a post in our forum.
