Should Online Article Websites Make Content Easier for Mobile Users - How About An App For That
As an online article writer, I've become rather prolific over the years.
Not long ago, I was discussing this with an acquaintance, Jared Kent, and he noted that each of my articles was simple and easy to read, and worthy of interest.
He also had some rather unique ideas to up the ante a little, helping to drive this content to the user at a better method, so that more readers would be able to them.
Okay so, let's talk.
Jared stated; "Your E-zine articles are such a great thing to read in those in between times of life.
I was just sitting around last night for a few minutes and started reading them on my phone.
Inspiration in an instant in a hand held device.
The format could be easier to read but of course my phone is 3 years old so it probably is better on newer phones.
" Wow, now that's a great idea for the evolution of online article directories, and I thought about his and stated; "Ah, in other words, there ought to be an app for that? Indeed, great idea.
I'd like to someday read each one onto a YouTube video, quick inspiration audio style - you would have to watch me read it - just listen - downloading 50-100 and then going on a jog or walk and listening.
" Why bother changing such a very successful niche now you ask? Well, the answer to that is simple, you see the niche of online article directories had gone through a phase of rapid increased competition - to the point that it was cluttering the search engines, all these new start-up directories of no consequence or quality control - then the social networking age was born, but it took a while for the sector to adapt, few did, and those that didn't are amongst the millions of non-renewed domain names - basically defunct, many including me say; "that's where they belong," and yes, true enough.
With a mobile world and blurring of the our virtual world with the real one - it would appear to me that Jared is correct, it's time to expand this niche of online article directory sites and get this show on the road - that is to say, allowing users to take those articles and information with them where ever they go - easy information in bite sized amounts to fill in those idle spaces in our lives when we need a little flow of useful info.
