Mothers Day Thoughts - From My Heart to My Mom"s

It is a rainy day.
Some moments ago, I was looking through the wet windows to the street, with a cup of coffee in one hand, and I started day dreaming.
Mothers Day is coming, and I had been talking to my mother on the phone a few minutes ago, so my thoughts flew in that direction.
I pictured my mother in her apartment, probably watching tv and getting dinner ready.
I pictured her years ago, helping me with my homework.
Getting home from work in a rush to get dinner ready for the family.
I thought of all the nice things I would like to tell her.
All nice things she would love to hear.
As words took form in my mind,I got to my computer and started typing.
I will read this to her later myself.
From my heart, to hers.
Thank You Thanks, Mom, for all those nights you stayed awake taking care of me.
Thanks, Mom, for all the hours you spent by my side when I was ill, comforting me and making me feel better.
Thanks, Mom, for being there at the school celebrations, watching me perform.
It felt so good to see you there smiling at me.
Thanks, Mom, for all the meals you cooked with love during the years.
And for those you will still cook for me! Thanks, Mom, for raising me up the way you did.
It wasn't easy, it never is.
You were always there, guiding me, talking to me, pointing things out to me.
Sometimes we argued.
Sometimes I felt you didn't understand me.
It took me years to actually see what you were doing.
Thanks, Mom, for being there.
For being my Mom.
And last, but not least, I love you.
I know you know I do.
I also know you like to hear me say it.
