British Airways to Begin Direct Flights from London to Lima
Travelers flying from London to Lima will soon be able to fly direct between the two cities, without time-consuming stops in cities like Madrid or Amsterdam.
In August 2015, British Airways announced that it will fly non-stop between the UK and Peru beginning May 4, 2016. A three-cabin BA Boeing 777 will operate along the route, flying three times a week during the summer months and twice weekly during the winter (starting October 30).
All flights will depart from Gatwick and arrive at Lima’s Jorge Chávez International Airport. It will be the first time since the early 1980s that a regular direct air link has existed between the two countries.
British Airways has already confirmed the year-round flight prices. Return tickets will start from £765 for passengers flying in the World Traveller class, £1,185 in World Traveller Plus, and £2,549 in Club World (all fares include taxes and charges).
