Enslaved - Odyssey To The West
I have downloaded the demo for Enslaved: Odyssey To The West and my first impression of it is that it is very good.
It is based 150 years in the future.
You play as Monkey, a brutish loner who forms a forced alliance with Trip, a young women who is very good with technology.
When they are both captured by a slave ship that is rumoured o take people and never return them Trip realises that she needs help to get home so she hacks into a slave headband on Monkey which means if she dies he dies.
Trip forces Monkey to help her get home using the headband.
Enslaved: Odyssey To The West has a very colorful environment which is unusual for a post apocalyptic game.
The movement is fluid and very well programmed, it is very similar to Uncharted 2, especially the climbing.
One bit I found quiet useful is it subtly highlights the hand holds and pipes so it is much easier to jump around.
This game is not all about jumping around and no action in fact there is plenty of action.
You use monkey's staff, which reminds me of a light sabre, to kill enemies.
I absolutely love the demo and I recommend that you download and try it yourself.
I am sure you will not be disappointed.
The release date in the UK is 08/10/2010 and if you pre-order it you get a few bonuses, an Enslaved comic book, classic monkey character skin and once you finish the game double melee damage.
