How to Build Dirt Bike Jumps
- 1). Dig a hole using the shovel to begin the ramp. This ramp should be in a long, flat area where you can easily accelerate and land without risking your safety.
- 2). Dig a second hole 15 feet from the original hole to create enough dirt for the ramp. This hole should be in front of the original hole rather than to the side of it.
- 3). Pile the dirt in between the ramps. Pound the dirt into the ground with the flat side of a shovel. Use a motorized dirt packer to make this task easier.
- 4). Smooth the ramp to make it rideable. The hole in front of and behind each side of the ramp should run smoothly to the track instead. If necessary, dig some more dirt from the end of the hole to create a slight ramp.
- 5). Spray the dirt ramp with water to pack the soil. Tap the ramp lightly with the back of a shovel. Allow the ramp to dry.
