How to Trim Potentiometers
- 1). Locate the trimmer. It is a small electronic component with a slotted circle that looks like the head of a screw.
- 2). Carefully insert the head of the trimmer adjustment tool into the trimmer's slot.
- 3). Trim the potentiometer by gently turning the tool. The direction you should turn the trimmer depends on how it is connected. Refer to the service manual or technical support. Turn it slowly. If the trimmer is a multi-turn component, the effect will be gradual. If it is single-turn, the effect will be more immediately noticeable.
