Airport Transportation Information

    Car Rentals

    • It's not immediately obvious which car rental companies are better than others. Because prices are competitive, no single agency is going to have a drastically lower price. While insurance is necessary, it commonly costs much more from the rental agency than from one's own insurance provider.

    Taxis

    • Before agreeing to a taxi ride, visitors to their destination should get a ballpark figure on the fare. Some cabs have surcharges and, depending on the distance, passengers could save money by using a flat-fee limo. Passengers may also consider bringing a map to confer with the driver on the best route.

    Shuttles

    • There are shuttles that take visitors to and from the airport, and there are others that travel to and from hotels. These vary among airports and hotels. For example, a shuttle from San Antonio Airport to downtown costs $18 as of 2010. However, some hotels include complimentary shuttle services for their guests.
