A bustling, coastal metropolis of five million, Busan is currently fashioning itself as one of Asia's more desirable destinations for both tourists and businesses. Part of this process entails offering a wide array of opportunities for accommodation, including high-quality, affordable hotels. Some of these hotels are located on the city's expansive shoreline while others are conveniently located downtown and offer luxury-style amenities. - Located on the shores of Haeundae Beach, the Sunset Business Hotel opened in 2008. The hotel has 72 rooms with each room type designed in a different style. For instance, a single room is designed in a traditional Korean style and doubles embody a sleek modernism. The online rate for a standard double, which is cheaper than the normal rate, is 99,000 won ($85 USD), as of December 2010. Inside the hotel are two dining options: a KFC and Breeze Burn's. The latter restaurant serves popular American meals such as hamburgers. There are also two karaoke bars, a cafe and a standard bar.
- Busan Central Hotel is located in the center of downtown Busan and occupies a 12-story building. It's a two-minute walk from the hotel's front doors to the metro stop, Yeonsan-dong. The hotel staff are eager to provide information on navigating around Busan and are familiar with local businesses and government offices. The City Hall and World Cup venues are within 10 minutes by either car or subway. Some of the hotel's facilities include a restaurant and cafe. Internet is also available. A double room goes for 50,000 won ($53 USD), as of December 2010. Breakfast, which is not included in the room rate, costs 5,000 won ($4 USD).
- The Busan Tourist has two restaurants, one of which specializes in American, Japanese and Korean breakfast. The Hotel also has a bakery, which offers cakes for special occasions, such as weddings. The Busan Tourist Hotel has plenty of space for events: a ballroom, seminar room, banquet and wedding hall are all available for renting. Other services include wireless Internet and electric kettles in each room. The hotel is one block from the metro station, Nampo Dong.
