- 1). Decide where you want your bed to be. A good place would be off to one side of the attic bedroom and not in the middle of the room. Try to also pick a spot where the roof is higher, this way you will have room to install a ceiling fan over your bed. Attic bedrooms can get very hot in the summer months, even with central air conditioning, so you will really be glad that you have a fan over your bed when the summer heat kicks in.
- 2). Now that your sleeping area is off to one side of your attic bedroom, you should have more space on the other side for a seating area. Choose a couple of comfortable chairs or a small sofa or loveseat, you want a cozy place to relax, but you don't want to overwhelm the space with furniture.
- 3). Add some end tables and lighting next to a window for the perfect spot to curl up and read a good book. Get a wardrobe closet to hang clothes in, bring in a dresser and your attic bedroom is complete.
