How to Cut Holes in a Rear Metal Shelf

    • 1). Draw the size and shape of the circle you want to cut, directly onto the rear of the metal shelf wall.

    • 2). Secure the 3/4 inch bit into the drill.

    • 3). Drill a hole in the center of the hole you drew on the metal.

    • 4). Use the tightener tool that comes with the sawzall to loosen the screw that holds the blade in on the top of the sawzall head.

    • 5). Slide the torch blade into the sawzall and tighten it into place.

    • 6). Insert the blade into the drilled hole. Pull the sawzall trigger and cut down to the circle you drew, and then cut along the drawn circle line.
