How to Repair a Wetsuit With Glue

    • 1). Dry the suit completely by placing it on a drying line or rack. Isolate the small rip or puncture.

    • 2). Pinch the rip or puncture together and apply a generous amount of the neoprene epoxy over the tear so the glue enters the rip. Hold it together for five minutes, then clip it together with the pinch clips.

    • 3). Place a piece of cardboard both under the repair and over it. Set it on a bench and let the glue dry for the prescribed time (most neoprene epoxies should be left for 24 hours to cure).

    • 4). Remove the cardboard and the pinch clips. Apply another coat of glue over the original repair and let it dry. This is an added layer used for safety. Once the glue cures, the suit is ready for use.
