Halloween Party Guessing Games
- Halloween parties have their own built-in drama. Guests arrive dressed as someone other than themselves. Guessing games can be a good way to entertain guests at a Halloween party and there are lots of great guessing games for you to choose, or use as inspiration to create your own.
- Classic games survive for a reason and these classics with a twist are sure to be a hit with your party guests.
Play a few rounds of Halloween charades to kick off your party. Write the names of classic monsters and horror movies on slips of paper and have players draw one. Without using any words, players must act out the name or title they have drawn; the other players try to guess what they are acting out.
Pictionary is an entertaining party game. Have guests draw Halloween-themed words from a hat. They must use a marker board or large paper pad to sketch out clues as other party guests shout out their guesses. - Guessing games with prizes are popular at parties. Set out paper for guests to write down their guesses on. Determine the winners at a set time during the party.
Fill a gallon, or quart jar with gummy eyeballs. Be sure to count how many it takes and write it down on a card held by the host of the party who is sworn to secrecy. Everyone guesses how many there are; the closest guess wins.
Take extreme close-up pictures of things that look gross, like tongues or fish scales and print them out. Have people guess what the close-ups are pictures of.
Have every party guest bring a picture of themselves in a Halloween costume. It can be at any age, but childhood pictures are most fun. Guests write down who they think is behind the mask or, perhaps, in the back end of the camel. - Guessing objects by feel or taste is always good for a laugh. Make sure you take volunteers who are good sports to avoid unpleasant episodes or hurt feelings.
Blindfold two or three guests that think they know candy. Have them taste and guess several kinds of candy without touching it first, someone else must feed it to them. Make sure you add one "gross" thing, such as an olive or a bite of cold hot dog.
Fill containers with spaghetti for guts, grapes for eyeballs, tomato slices for human ears and spaghetti sauce for blood. Allow guests to touch and smell while blindfolded to guess what the items really are.
