Bean Bags

• 1). Cut eight pieces of fabric that measure 7 inches by 7 inches each. This will allow you to make four bean bags that are 6 inches each. The extra inch of fabric is for a 1/2-inch seam allowance all around. You can use any color fabric you would like. It is best to use durable fabrics, like felt or corduroy, since they will be tossed around. These fabrics will hold up to the physical abuse of the game.
  
  
• 2). Use straight pins to pin two pieces of fabric together, right sides of the fabric facing in, using your 1/2 inch seam allowance. Use your sewing machine to sew together three of the four sides completely. On the fourth side, leave a 2-inch gap. Remove all the straight pins. Pull the fabric through the hole you left to turn the bag right side out.
  
  
• 3). Repeat Step 2 with the remaining six pieces of fabric to create three more bean bags.
  
  
• 4). Fill the bags you created in Steps 2 and 3 with dried beans. You can use any type of dried beans you would like. Fill the bags two-thirds of the way full. This should equal about a cup or a cup and half of beans.
  
  
• 5). Fold the edges of the open seam inward. Use your sewing machine to close the last of the seam.
  
  

Saucers

• 1). Rinse your four terra cotta saucers with water. This will wash away any dust on the saucers. Allow them to dry completely.
  
  
• 2). Paint the inside of your saucers using acrylic paints. You can use any colors or patters you would like. For example, if you are making a set to be used for Fourth of July, you can use red, white and blue to make stripes or stars on the saucers. Allow the paint to dry.
  
  
• 3). Paint point markers on the inside of each saucer. Paint a 10 on the largest, 20 on the next size, 30 on the next, and 40 on the smallest. Allow the paint to dry.
