What Electronics Can Be Recycled?

Are you harboring loads of electronics in your closet that you can't bear to part with "just in case" of an emergency or in hopes of putting them up for sale one day? Are you just not sure what to do with your old computer that you're never going to use again? Lots of people have electronics that they need to recycle but they don't know if it's OK to do it or not.
The truth is all electronics can be recycled.
There is no limit on saving the environment.
Each electronic has some of the same elements that contribute to the death of the earth.
Computers are the most common recycling item out there right now.
It is not the only one of course but it contributes an unbelievable amount of waste to the earth.
They have lots of different metals and toxins that can't be broken down naturally.
This will eventually get into the drinking water and make it undrinkable for everyone.
Things like cadmium, zinc, mercury, antimony and tin are all involved in computers.
The semiconductors are full of cadmium which in this case is used as a plastic stabilizer.
The switches and batteries have mercury in them.
Cathode Ray Tubes are in monitors and televisions.
They are actually banned from certain landfills so they have to be recycled.
People often think that the only electronics that can be recycled are televisions, computers, cell phones and cameras but the truth is there are many more electronics than that.
House hold appliances count as electronics.
A blender can be considered a recycle item even.
Maybe you have electronic picture frames or your kids' robotic toys you want to get rid of.
This is all possible with electronic recycling companies.
Technological items can be taken no matter what size or status they are.
If it has a battery inside it, it is a recycle item.
Bigger things like robotic arms, telecom equipment and lab equipment can all be recycled too.
The electronics don't have to be hand-held size.
They can be gigantic factory pieces that have nowhere else to go.
This helps the environment immensely because just one item of the above listed is a lot of waste to contribute to the poisoning of the planet.
They can all be processed the same and will all be taken apart and broken down accordingly.
More and more laws are passing where it is illegal to not recycle.
Well, you might as well jump ahead of the curve and start recycling your technological devices now.
Start with just a battery.
