Guitar Rig 2 Specs

    Inputs, Processing and Power

    • The Guitar Rig 2 controller pedal has two quarter-inch instrument cable inputs, two quarter-inch instrument cable outputs, a MIDI in port, and a MIDI out port. It's powered by USB. It has a pair of quarter-inch pedal inputs and headphone output. The Guitar Rig package features a USB 2.0 audio interface and 24-bit/192 kHz converters.

    Amplifiers

    • The Guitar Rig software features eight amplifier models, 19 cabinets and 27 effects pedals. These can be configured in any combination. For example, you could rig up two amps, run them through two cabinets each and use all effects pedals at once. The amplifier models are based on well known amps, and have names that are easy for a seasoned guitar player to decipher toward figuring out their real-world counterparts, such as "AC Box", "Hot Plex" and "Citrus." The software also features a virtual tuner and Dynamic Tube Response Software to create an authentic amplifier sound.

    Interface

    • The user interface is intuitive and based on real world applications. For example, the recording interface is modelled on an old-fashioned casette deck. To enable record, click on the casette deck "Record" button. The guitar amp controls are located as they would be on a real guitar amplifier, for ease of use. You can split your guitar signal two ways, so that it feeds two separate rigs.

    Modular Synthesis

    • As well as hardware modelling, the Guitar Rig software enables you to convert your signal from audio to data. You can then add low-frequency oscillation, envelope filtering and step sequencing to process your guitar signal as a data signal.
