How to Fix a Guitar Hero 3 Whammy Bar
- 1). Unplug the guitar controller from your gaming system. Place the controller face down on a flat surface.
- 2). Unscrew the 11 screws that hold the guitar casing together. Remove the back to expose the inner workings of the controller.
- 3). Locate the whammy bar controls, a white section directly behind the whammy bar. Look for the area where cords run from the white section to the controller motherboard.
- 4). Find the two screws on either side of the cords. These are tension screws; tightening them will fix a loose whammy bar.
- 5). Close the controller back up and replace the screws.
