How to Remove the Virus Alert From Toolbar
- 1). Open up your Internet browser.
- 2). Click the "x" right next to the virus alert you want to remove in the toolbar. Repeat the process for any other web browsers affected. This will hide the action from view. If you want to completely uninstall the virus alert, go to step 3.
- 3). Close your Internet browser.
- 4). Click on the "Start" menu on your desktop, then select the "Control Panel."
- 5). Chose "Add or Remove Programs."
- 6). Scroll through your programs until you find the name of the virus alert you want removed on your toolbar and select the "Remove" button beside it.
- 7). Follow the removal prompts to rid your system of the virus alert. You may be prompted to restart your computer to complete this process.
- 8). Reopen your Internet browser to verify removal of the virus alert.
