Where Are We Going?
It is so exciting to see people grow and become who God is calling them to be! Today I spoke to a wonderful women of God who I love dearly, she has been given an amazing opportunity to go to Italy! I am so excited for her I can barely contain myself.
She is amazing, kind, generous and loving, and I couldn't think of a better person to have that amazing opportunity.
I can't wait until "we" go! I can only imagine what she will see, experience, and touch.
I can't wait until she comes back totally excited and changed by what she has experienced.
Perhaps we can sit over coffee near a fireplace, and let time fly by as I hear all of the amazing stories.
I will ask her tons of questions (LOL, it's just who I am), and look at her pictures smile and laugh, it will be just like I was there with her and I will celebrate the joy of an awesome experience.
In a world where drama and competition is celebrated.
Where reality TV shows with fights and conflicts fill twitter and Facebook feeds, I am choosing to highlight something different.
I am choosing to celebrate with the band that comes out, plays and celebrates with the one who God opened up the door! The person who fought the long hard fight when giving up would have been easier, understandable, and more popular.
There are many people in our lives who will do things that we may never do or have any interest in doing.
Those opportunities change the world that we live in because they change us, when "we" celebrate with them, we are celebrating the accomplishments of their dreams, and the amazing things that they are doing.
Those opportunities make them come alive and put a smile on their faces.
Perhaps it is the publishing of their new book, a new program, a dream job, someone who has finally gotten in shape, a speech given in front of a group of 5, or a crowd of 5,000, it is a fear conquered and a dream fulfilled! Celebrate with those around you that have things worth celebrating.
Jump up and down with them like the people on the Oprah Show who all got a car, share the joy of others and appreciate what God is doing in their lives.
It is a gift of hope, change and new opportunities for us all.
Life is a gift, every day, every moment and every second, and today is another opportunity to celebrate!
