Jungle safari-themed birthday parties are appropriate for children who love animals or just want to have a party filled with adventure. There are many birthday party ideas for you to choose from that will turn your home into a jungle safari for the birthday child and the party guests. - Hang plastic green tablecloths in doorways and cut them in vertical strips an inch from the top so they look like vines. Put plastic or small real trees in the party area. Display decorations depicting animals that are typically found in the jungle, such as monkeys, snakes and birds. Place animal print blankets over furniture. Crumble large pieces of gray butcher block paper and put them on the floor to represent rocks. Decorate a wagon to look like a safari vehicle with black and white crepe paper. Set up two small tents and place a sign outside of one tent that says "Lion's Den" and "Bear Cave" outside of the other. Put toy lions inside of the Lion's Den and toy bears inside of the Bear Cave.
- Have the children visit different tables to prepare for their jungle safari. Hand out toy binoculars at one of the tables for the children to use to see the jungle animals on their safari. Give them a hand stamp at another table so they can be admitted into the jungle safari. Camouflage their faces at the last table so the jungle safari animals will not see them. Lead them into the jungle and give two children at a time a safari ride in the decorated wagon. Let them go into the Bear Cave and Lions Den and play with the animals. Play music that has different animal sounds and encourage the children to try to identify what animal sounds they are hearing.
- Give the children animal cookies and provide different colored frosting for them to decorate the animals. Serve jungle animal safari sandwiches by cutting the sandwiches with animal cookie cutters. Make a cake that looks like a tiger by baking a round cake and two cupcakes. Frost the round cake orange and the cupcakes black. Place the cupcakes directly above the cake, towards the side of the cake to represent tiger ears. Use round candy pieces for the eyes, nose and mouth and licorice for the whiskers.
