How to Ping RSPS

    • 1). Load Runescape, then switch back to your desktop by hitting the "Alt" and "Tab" keys at the same time.

    • 2). Load Windows Task Manager by hitting the "Control," "Alt," and "Delete" keys at the same time. Click on the "Processes" tab to access the "Processes" list. Open the "View" menu. Select the "Select Columns" option. Check the box next to "PID (Process Identifier)." Hit the "OK" button to return to the "Processes" list.

    • 3). Search the "Processes" list in the Windows Task Manager until you find the process related to Runescape. It shows up as "javaw.exe." Next to it is the PID. Write this value down and close Windows Task Manager.

    • 4). Access the Command Prompt by hitting the "Start" button (the Windows-logo button on the lower-left-hand side of the screen) and "R" key at the same time. Type in "cmd," then press "Enter."

    • 5). Type "netstat -o" in the command prompt window and press "Enter." It displays a long list. Search through this list until you find the PID that you had previously written down. Scroll over to the "Foreign Address" column, and you'll see an IP address. Write this address down.

    • 6). Scroll back down to the bottom of the command prompt window and type "ping IP" (where IP represents the IP address you just wrote down). Hit "Enter" to ping the RSPS.
