How to Make Royal Chocolate Tarts

    • 1). Heat your oven to 350 degrees F and put the oven rack on the middle shelf.

    • 2). Put the semisweet chocolate, butter and cocoa powder in a double boiler over heated water and let the chocolate melt. Stir occasionally.

    • 3). In a separate mixing bowl, beat together the sugar, salt and eggs until they are blended. When those ingredients are fluffy and slightly risen, mix in maple syrup and sour cream.

    • 4). Add melted chocolate and combine. Pour the mixture into the empty tart shells.

    • 5). Bake the chocolate-filled shells for approximately 35 minutes.

    • 6). Chill the pan of chocolate tarts for at least 10 hours.
