It's all about your clients.
This is the first thing that you need to keep in mind.
Do not forget that your coaching programs are all about your trainees -- their needs, demands, goals, problems, and aspiration - and that your programs' ultimate goal is to impress your clients.
Spend at least a couple of hours with your clients the moment they signed up.
No, this is not to get started with the program right away, but to get as much information as possible about these people.
Have casual conversation with them or do the typical question and answer portion.
Get to know what they expect to get from you, what they exactly need, and how you can help them out.
Then, create a personalized coaching program for each of your trainees that will give them everything they want and maybe more.

Set the goals of your programs.
Start the first coaching session by telling your clients what they can expect to get and the goals that they are going to realize after the program.
List them in bullet points and explain each of them briefly.
Let me give you an example; I am coaching people who would like to make money online.
On our first coaching session, I tell them that at the end of the program, they'll be able to understand the ropes of affiliate marketing, website creation, SEO, product creation, and link building.

Take control.
Although you would want to encourage your clients to speak up from time to time, you don't want them to steal the spotlight each time you do your discussion or you do your demonstration as this can ruin your train of thoughts.
Before you start with your presentation, tell your clients to jot down their questions that they can ask later on preferably on the question and answer portion.

Know how to handle "difficult" trainees.
There are just some times when you'll get trainees that are not exactly cooperative.
Well, this should not be a problem.
This should only cause major headache if you don't know how to effectively handle them.
I recommend that you set the rules ahead of time and make use of reward/punishment system so you can easily "control" them all throughout the program.
